The fashion brand Band of Outsiders was looking to enter the Dutch and Belgian market and searched for a way to introduce themselves to the local community. I used the brand’s unique outlook to create the concept ‘Why are you an outsider?’ asserting that going against the grain is a true power. For the campaign, we scouted 10 local outsiders from Amsterdam and Antwerp who claimed their outsider status as a strength and talent. We cast a Nightmayor, DJ, MC, Skater, Painter and other artists/creatives. All heroes inspire the target audience to step out of their comfort zone to become a true outsider. Next to taking various studio portraits of the heroes we shot a short video in which they answer the question: Why are you an Outsider?
